Silent Hill Creator Released New Concept Art For His Action Adventure With Horror Elements
Bokeh Game Studio, founded by former SIE Japan Studio employees (Silent Hill, Siren), has released concept art for an upcoming horror-themed action-adventure currently in development.
In December 2020, Keiichiro Toyama left SIE Japan Studio to found Bokeh Game Studio alongside Gravity Rush Series Lead Designer Junya Okura and Puppeteer Lead Designer Kazunobu Sato. The studio’s debut game will be released on multiple platforms in 2023.
Below you can see the new concept art for the upcoming action-adventure. The illustration depicts a character who resembles a mixture of a raven, a deer, and a person. Unknown symbols hang over it, among which the sun, a mountain, and a butterfly, as well as a dream catcher, are guessed.
In a behind-the-scenes video in February, Toyama said that instead of frightening horror, the game would have an ” entertaining note ” as he wants gamers to feel ” revived ” as they play.
“Instead of showing scary things, horror should challenge our position, make us challenge the fact that we live in peace. I like to bring these thoughts into my concepts. I would like this to be the theme of my next game, ” Toyama stated in that video.
