Silicon Power Introduces XD80 NVMe Drives Up to 2 TB and Speed Up to 3400 MB / s
Silicon Power (SP) introduced XD80 NVMe solid-state drives using PCIe Gen3 x4 interface to communicate with a computer. The series offers models with a memory capacity of up to 2 TB.
The manufacturer does not say what type of flash memory is used in the XD80 series NVMe drives but notes that the new items are equipped with SLC caching and a DRAM buffer, which accelerates sequential read and writes processes up to 3400 and 3000 MB / s, respectively.
The series includes models with a capacity of 256 and 512 GB and 1 and 2 TB in the M.2 2280 form factor. The sizes of Silicon Power XD80 drives are 22 × 80 mm. For cooling, the new items are equipped with an aluminum radiator. According to the manufacturer, it allows you to reduce the temperature level of the drives by 20%, thereby providing an increased level of stability of their operation.
The manufacturer gives a five-year warranty for new items. The price and timing of the start of sales of new solid-state drives have not yet been announced.
