It is said that the novelty will be able to handle games in 1440p (2560 × 1440 pixels) format with a frame rate of 120 FPS (frames per second). In addition, it is said about means of scaling (upscaling) up to the 4K standard (3840×2160 pixels), as well as support for streaming multimedia materials in 4K format.

The equipment, according to the released data, will include a customized NVMe SSD with a capacity of 512 GB. Users can connect an external storage device via the USB Type-A port.

The technologies Variable Rate Shading and Variable Refresh Rate are mentioned. The former allows GPUs to save resources by shading parts of the scene at a slower rate than others without noticeable differences to the viewer. The Variable Refresh Rate system is responsible for improving the quality of gameplay. Finally, support for ray tracing is mentioned.

The size of the Xbox Series S will be 60% smaller than the older modification – Xbox Series X. The teaser shows the novelty in white with a round perforated section in black.

The Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X will hit the market on November 10 for $ 299 and $ 499 respectively.
