The fact is that Murena specializes in “degoogling” Android phones, and the Fairphone 4 brought by it was no exception. The smartphone has been stripped of its regular Android and replaced with the company’s own operating system called /e/OS. In fact, of course, this is still the same Android, but without Google services and with its own Murena software.
Murena positions its products as privacy-focused as well. /e/OS has its own app store and basic services, including calendar, mail, cloud storage, and so on.
