Sonic’s action-platformer Balan Wonderworld is now on sale and no longer causes epileptic seizures
The Balan Company (a subsidiary of Square Enix) and the Arzest Corp. have announced the action-platformer Balan Wonderworld release. Sonic, the Hedgehog creator Yuji Naka is responsible for its development. The team released a Day 1 update that removed the epileptic seizure-inducing flashing lights in the boss fight along with the release.
Before Balan Wonderworld’s release, it was reported on the web that fighting the final boss could potentially cause an epileptic seizure, as repeating lights flicker quickly across the screen. The Balan Company then encouraged users to download and install the Day 1 patch.
“Please make sure you apply the patch for the first day before playing Balan Wonderworld,” the statement said. – We have received reports of the risk of photosensitive epilepsy due to a potential blinking error in an un-updated game. The Day 1 patch prevents this issue and also improves the overall gaming experience. “
In Balan Wonderworld, young heroes Emma and Leo collect and change costumes that allow them to fight and solve puzzles. The passage of the game is available in both single and cooperative modes. Heroes need to find over 80 skins to heal the hearts of characters whose negative feelings manifested themselves in the form of villains.
Balan Wonderworld is out on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.
