Traditionally, Sony presents new devices at the annual IFA exhibition, which takes place in Berlin in early September. However, given the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and the restrictions imposed in connection with it, the Japanese company decided to hold an online event similar to the previous online announcements as part of the presentations prepared for MWC 2020.

Sony is expected to announce at the upcoming event the flagship smartphone Xperia 5 II (Mark 2), a render of which was published yesterday by blogger Evan Blass. The Sony Xperia 5 II is rumored to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 (or Snapdragon 865 Plus) processor, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of flash storage, as well as a quad-camera with ZEISS optics.

It is quite possible that other novelties of the Japanese manufacturer will also be presented at the event. In addition, we can expect more information about the smartphone Xperia PRO 5G, which the company said in February this year, but it is still there on the shelves.
