Sony is credited with the intention to release a new smartphone of the Xperia Compact family
Next year Sony will introduce several interesting smartphones at once. It was recently reported that the company is preparing its first mid-range 5G device, the Xperia 10 III. And now there is information about another device.
A new smartphone of the Xperia Compact family is said to be in development. It will receive a display measuring less than 6 inches diagonally – presumably 5.5 inches. At the same time, the electronic filling will provide good performance.
In particular, it is argued that the processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 775G, which has not yet been officially presented, will serve as the silicon “heart” of the device. The chip is rumored to provide support for up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, fast UFS 3.1 flash drives, and 120Hz displays. The processor will include a 5G modem.
Unfortunately, there is no other information about the upcoming Xperia Compact smartphone at the moment. It is only noted that the official presentation of the model is scheduled for the first half of next year.
And at the end of February 2021, the presentation of the aforementioned Xperia 10 III device with a 5G Snapdragon 690 chip and the flagship Xperia 1 III smartphone on the Snapdragon 875 platform is expected.
