The recent firmware update did not affect the situation
Sony released its new PlayStation 5 game console a month ago. At the same time, the DualSense controller became available. According to online reviews, the gamepad has serious issues that have not been addressed by recent software updates.
Sony PlayStation 5 has serious DualSense issues and has yet to be fixed
We are talking about the so-called “drift” of analog sticks – incorrect operation, “disobedient” behavior, spontaneous “pressing” and so on. This, of course, significantly complicates the process of the game, and, sometimes, makes the game simply impossible. Such manifestations can be expected after prolonged and intensive use, but not at the beginning of sales.
A couple of days ago, Sony released the second rather large update for the PlayStation 5, and in the process of updating users were asked to connect to the DualSense console. Many hoped that this would fix the drift problem. Judging by the reviews on the network, these hopes did not come true and the problems persisted.
In this regard, the conclusion suggests itself that the controller’s problems are not software, but hardware and they cannot be solved by a simple software update. Especially when you consider that the DualShock 4 had exactly the same problems.
