Sony is preparing at least three new smartphones
According to new rumors, Sony is preparing a new smartphone of the Xperia Compact line, which will be released in the first half of 2021. According to reports, the new compact smartphone may come out under the name Sony Xperia 1 III Compact and will be built on the mysterious new Snapdragon 775G SoC.
Sony Xperia 1 III Compact will receive a 5.5-inch screen and Snapdragon 775G
So far, sources have only information about the fact of development, the alleged single-chip system, and that the screen size of the Sony Xperia 1 III Compact will be about 5.5 inches.
For the first time, rumors about Snapdragon 775G appeared back in September of this year, then it was said that Snapdragon 775G would be much more interesting than Snapdragon 765G. The Snapdragon 775G CPU is expected to improve by 40% and the GPU performance to increase by 50%.
It was also reported that the company canceled the Xperia 10 II Plus, which was built on the Snapdragon 720 SoC, to tackle 5G smartphones. Sources found evidence that, in addition to the Sony Xperia 1 III Compact, Sony is preparing two more smartphones, including a Snapdragon 690 model and a flagship device equipped with a Snapdragon 875 SoC. Presumably, the Sony Xperia 1 III will receive more than four cameras and a Snapdragon 875, and the Xperia 10 III will go to Snapdragon 690.
