The manufacturer has confirmed that the replacement program will be available in various regions, but the exact list of countries has not yet been published. The average cost of replacing batteries will be around $ 34. The following models take part in the program:

- Sony Xperia XZ1
- Sony Xperia XZ Premium
- Sony Xperia XZ2
- Sony Xperia XZ3
Users will also get a free USB-C charging cable and a 10 percent discount on any other repairs.
