Spiritfarer Wins Thunder Lotus Games’ Most Successful Release and Receives First Content Patch
As promised, the patch adds the spirit of Lily, the protagonist’s younger sister, to Spiritfarer, as well as several fixes and innovations, including co-fishing and several useful features.
Thunder Lotus Games warns that the update was less than expected due to the team’s desire to pay due attention to the community’s dissatisfaction with the story of Stella (the protagonist) and the ending of the game.
As for the new top of sales for the game, since the premiere, Spiritfarer has managed to disperse over 500 thousand copies all over the world.
This result makes Spiritfarer the most successful Thunder Lotus Games project. The studio has released the Scandinavian action movie Jotun (2015) and the action-platformer Sundered (2017).
“The 500,000-copy milestone is a big deal for us, and we decided this was the right time for Lily,” Spiritfarer creative director Nicolas Guerin added in a press release.
Spiritfarer is available on PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store), PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Google Stadia. The next two content updates are expected this summer and autumn.
