Square Enix clarifies NEO: the World Ends With You place in episode timeline and promises soon news
Publisher Square Enix has shared new information about RPG NEO: The World Ends With You since its announcement and announces the date of disclosure of fresh details.
On the broadcast, timed to coincide with the upcoming premiere of the anime series based on the series, the director of NEO: The World Ends With You, Tatsuya Kando, mentioned that the events of the project would unfold three years after the upcoming adaptation.
Besides, producer Tetsuya Nomura announced on the official microblogging, The World Ends With You, that the game’s additional details will be released on April 9 ahead of the show’s debut.
Nomura added that the developers are planning to create a separate Twitter account dedicated to the game in the same tweet. The current account is also used to promote anime.
The events of NEO: The World Ends With You will unfold in Tokyo’s Shibuya district, where four heroes, led by protagonist Rindo, will take part in the “Game of the Reapers” – a battle for survival.
NEO: The World Ends With You will offer detailed Shibuya, 3D graphics in recognizable comic style, a dynamic combat system, and a soundtrack by Takeharu Ishimoto.
The release of NEO: The World Ends With You is expected this summer on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. The preview trailer, unveiled in November 2020, provides an insight into the 3D environment and gameplay.
