But praised the gameplay and atmosphere
Developers from GSC Game World have published a new gameplay trailer for the game STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl, and at the same time confirmed yesterday’s rumors about the postponement of the release date of the game.
The game is now due out in the first quarter of 2024. Of course, if it is not transferred again, but there are prerequisites for this. The fact is that the game was brought to the Gamecom exhibition, where everyone, including journalists, was given a chance to try it out. Filming the process was not allowed, but journalists shared their impressions.
STALKER 2 has been postponed to 2024. Journalists tested the game and noted many bugs
And first of all, it is worth highlighting the bugs. They are different and there are many.
Firstly, the game crashes and does it often. Secondly, sometimes the fall animation does not work for enemies after they die. There are also performance issues, with weapons hitting enemies, and a number of other bugs. Even with the new release date, the game only has four to seven months to go, and with so many issues in the short demo, the developers still have a lot of work to do.
But in absentia and the game has a lot of pluses. In particular, journalists first of all singled out the complexity and realism. STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl is not just a shooter. The game is easy to die, hard to kill enemies, reload and heal animations are very long, which makes you think about when exactly to use them. Some journalists even compared the project with Dark Souls.
The journalists did not single out the graphics as some kind of breakthrough, and the latest trailer shows that, despite the Unreal Engine 5, the game will clearly not receive the title of nextgen. But at the same time, those who tested the project noted the atmosphere and general style.
