So, mobile phones will be able to connect directly to Starlink satellites as early as 2023, and the connection speed will be from 2 to 4 Mbps.
Please note that the connection speed will be between 2 and 4 Mbps per cell, so it will be fine for text messages and voice calls, but not for tasks that require high bandwidth.

The 51-year-old billionaire also explained that the next generation of Starlink satellites will be able to use T-Mobile’s PCS mid-band spectrum. He said that they will have huge antennas with a diameter of about 5-6 meters, which will help ensure communication. The satellites will be launched using SpaceX’s new Starship rocket.
“If there are not too many people in the cell coverage area, you could potentially even have some video,” Musk added.
