Sucker Punch employee’s resume mentions “Ghost of Tsushima for Sony PS5”
The journalists of the Twisted Voxel portal drew attention to the information about the next project of Sucker Punch Productions, posted on the LinkedIn profile of the creative director of the video department of the studio, Dave Molloy.
Recall that at the end of last year and the beginning of this year, Sucker Punch Productions found unequivocal hints of a new release in the series that began with the release of Ghost of Tsushima in the list of vacancies.
On his LinkedIn page, Molloy indicated that he is currently working on “Ghost of Tsushima for Sony PS5”. What kind of game in the series we are talking about, however, it is not clear from the wording to the end.
In particular, Molloy could talk about both the imminent sequel to Ghost of Tsushima, which will be released on the PlayStation 5, and a potential independent version of the project for the new Sony console.
As a reminder, Ghost of Tsushima is currently running on PS5 only for backward compatibility. The mode provides stable frame rates but does not offer any graphical enhancements.
Ghost of Tsushima was released in July 2020 exclusively on PlayStation 4 and set a sales speed record for Sony games under new IP in the first three days.
In mid-October, Ghost of Tsushima received a free (for PlayStation Plus subscribers) Legends multiplayer mode, which supports a four-person co-op.
