Tactical strategy Phoenix Point from the creator of X-COM will reach Steam on December 10

The Snapshot Games studio, led by X-COM creator Julian Gollop, has announced Phoenix Point: Year One Edition – the “most complete” edition of its tactical strategy for fighting an alien threat.

Unlike the basic version of Phoenix Point, the Year One Edition will go on sale not only on the Epic Games Store, but also on Steam. This will happen on December 10 of this year. Pre-order is not available yet.

In addition to the main game, Phoenix Point: Year One Edition will include two DLCs (Blood and Titan, Legacy of the Ancients), the Living Weapon pack, all released free updates and fixes, and some new content.

“If you were waiting for the opportunity to dive into Phoenix Point or wanted to get all the existing DLC at once, then you can do it in December!” – assured in Snapshot Games.

It is worth noting that the “most complete” edition of the Year One Edition will not always be: Snapshot Games has three more major additions to Phoenix Point in development – ” Purulent Sky ” and two so far unnamed add-ons.

Among other things, Snapshot Games is also working on porting Phoenix Point to consoles: the Xbox One version was supposed to be released by the end of March, and the game on PS4 is expected in 2020. The studio has no fresh news about the console release.

Phoenix Point was released on December 3, 2019, on the Epic Games Store, and reached the Microsoft Store on December 19. The journalists were far from completely delighted with the game – on Metacritic the project had 74 points out of 100.
