Teaser and release date of the demo version of Vice City 2 – a fan remaster of GTA: Vice City on the engine of the fourth part
Russian enthusiasts from the Revolution Team continue to work on GTA: Vice City 2 – a fan-made transfer of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City to the fourth part engine. They previously featured city rides and car upgrades, and have now posted a short teaser that announced the release date for the demo.
It will be possible to try out GTA: Vice City 2 on December 5th. A demo version of the remaster will appear exclusively on the LibertyCity.ru website, anyone can download it.
The fresh teaser for Revolution Team is made in a cinematic style. It features redesigned character models, cars, and animations. When creating a project, a version of the Rage engine from the times of the fourth part is used. Because of this, the visual component feels a little outdated, but when compared with the original source, it is much prettier.
The choice of the GTA IV engine for the creation of Vice City 2 is explained quite simply: the production of the fan-made remaster began eight years ago. Then Grand Theft Auto V had not yet been released, and after its release, the authors decided not to change their plans and continued to work with the old version of Rage.
When the final assembly of GTA: Vice City 2 will appear is still unknown.
