Tesla refreshes Model 3 interior and adds heated steering wheel

Tesla Model 3 electric cars received a number of updates back in October last year, but the modernization process stretched over several months and affected a variety of functions of these cars. In China, the production of Tesla Model 3 electric vehicles has already begun with an updated interior, which finally offers an electrically heated steering wheel.

According to the Electrek resource, the interior of the Tesla Model 3 electric vehicles produced in China has been updated following the example of the Model Y crossover, the assembly of which in this country began in December. The front panel and door cards can now be decorated with wood inserts and chrome accents. The side glazing can now be double-layer for the sake of better sound insulation, the centre console has been updated, and the trunk lid has got an electric drive.

In the optional interior package, Chinese customers of the Tesla Model 3 already have access to all heated seats and 12-way front electric adjustment. The steering wheel is finally heated, and hopefully, the feature will gradually expand to other trim levels and will also be available as a surcharge option. So far, these innovations are available only on Chinese-assembled Tesla Model 3 electric vehicles, but they are already being exported to Europe, and in the future, we can count on the modernization of this model in the American specification.
