Suitable for old and undemanding
The line of Intel Processor processors has been on the market for quite a long time, but some intelligible tests of such CPUs very rarely appear on the Web, since they belong to the budget segment. The author of the Team Pandory channel decided to test the Processor N100 in games, which is quite atypical for such a product.
For tests, a Chuwi Gemibook XPro laptop was taken with the same CPU. The mobile PC is not equipped with any discrete graphics card, which means that we are talking about testing an iGPU UHD Graphics with 24 computing units, and all this with a TPD of 6 W and the processor has only four small cores.
The 6-watt CPU Processor N100 is quite usable in games, albeit with a lot of caveats
Of course, it is completely pointless to test such a solution in modern demanding games, therefore, in general, quite old and undemanding games by modern standards were taken as a basis.
As you can see, the majority of the CPU copes, and in some cases it copes very confidently. Of course, adjusted for 720p and often low settings.
For example, Resident Evil 5 runs at over 70 fps, and that’s on high settings. But Skyrim on medium settings does not work in the best way, but on low, you can probably get a stable 30 fps. GTA V feels quite good, delivering 40 fps and above.
In general, it turns out that the 6-watt N100 can be used for some portable game console with an eye on old or very undemanding modern games. And such a console could offer much more autonomy than the same Steam Deck.
