The announcement of GoPro Hero 9 Black is getting closer, there is new information about the future flagship

GoPro will soon unveil the ninth generation of its flagship sports camera, the Hero 9 Black. The German resource WinFuture got the official images of the device, where you can see the appearance of a small color display on the front panel.

GoPro Hero9 Black retains the familiar format that has become the standard across the entire product category. In addition to the improved front display, obviously the new GoPro camera will also get support for 5K shooting. Anyway, the WinFuture resource reported that the documentation mentions this. Unfortunately, there are no details regarding the codec, frequency, etc.

GoPro has been installing an optional smaller screen on the front of the camera for a long time. Until now, however, it has been the simplest monochrome display that has been used to show frame rate, resolution, and other details of the selected recording mode. In the future, the front display will become more versatile. Obviously, it can be used for more convenient shooting of self-portraits and vlogs.

Apart from the enlarged color display on the front, there are few external changes – in particular, the main display on the back seems to be the same. Unfortunately, the specifications of the new GoPro Hero9 Black have not been disclosed. The GoPro Hero 9, however, will get flip-down mounts at the bottom, with which the camera can be attached to various accessories without the need for additional housing. The expected cost and release time have not yet been announced.
