The announcement of the first gaming smartphone Xiaomi Redmi is expected before the end of April
Internet sources report that Xiaomi will announce the first gaming smartphone under the Redmi brand in the middle or end of this month. The device will be based on the MediaTek platform.
The device’s preparation was previously announced by the general manager of Redmi Liu Weibing (Lu Weibing). According to him, a Dimensity 1200 processor with eight cores (up to 3.0 GHz), a Mali-G77 MC9 graphics accelerator, and a 5G modem have been selected for the novelty.
As it has now become known, the smartphone has the code designation M2104K10x. Several regional modifications are being prepared: for example, the Chinese version received the code M2104K10C. Moreover, it is argued that in some markets, the novelty may debut under the Poco brand.
The device is credited with having a flat AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, a multi-module camera with a 64-megapixel main sensor, and a 5000 mAh battery with a 65-watt quick charge. Besides, auxiliary physical buttons for control in games are mentioned.
The new Redmi will be one of the most affordable smartphones designed specifically for gamers. The price will allegedly start at $ 350.
