M2 Ultra is larger

The Apple M2 Ultra platform is monstrously huge. It contains 134 billion transistors, which is an incredible amount by the standards of consumer PCs. Unsurprisingly, a teardown of the new Mac Studio revealed that Apple’s platform is bigger in the box than the new Xeon w9-3495X.

As you can see in the photo, the solutions are roughly comparable, but the M2 Ultra is slightly larger. This is despite the fact that the Xeon w9-3495X contains 56 large cores and 105 MB of Smart Cache.

Of course, the M2 Ultra has up to 192 GB of RAM next to the SoC crystals, but at the same time, these are still products focused on roughly the same segment.
