The authors of The Outlast Trials recalled the existence of the game with three concept art and talked about the development progress

The Canadian studio Red Barrels in its official microblog  unveiled three concept art of one of the enemies in its co-op horror The Outlast Trials and talked about the development progress.

We will remind, the last time about The Outlast Trials was heard in June 2020, when the debut teaser trailer of the upcoming game was presented from the virtual stage of the PC Gaming Show.

Over the past, since the project details were added: Red Barrels diligently working on The Outlast Trials and is currently approaching the development of a “major milestone of quality control.”

The authors cannot share the exact release date yet, but they promise to do so when they are ready, and The Outlast Trials will become “true to the vision” of the developers. Earlier it was reported that the release is expected this year.

Also, Red Barrels reported that the studio’s staff now exceeds 40 people. For comparison: the original Outlast was created by a team of 10 employees and Outlast 2 – two dozen.

“We’ve adapted to keep developing the game while keeping our team safe and healthy (above Murkoff’s standards, of course),” Red Barrels said.

The Outlast Trials have been announced for PC only ( Steam, Epic Games Store ). In a team of up to four or alone, players will face brainwashing and mind control techniques tested by scientists at the Murkoff Corporation.
