The authors of Valheim thought about allowing players to teleport ore, and promised to follow the opinion of the community
Iron Gate is considering allowing ore to be carried through portals in survival sim Valheim, as gamers often ask for it. But the fact is that there are players with diametrically opposite opinions. To resolve this issue, the developer listens to both sides.
Players can build portals to navigate through them around the map. But they become unusable when your character is carrying ore – now transporting the mineral is only possible in traditional ways, but they are dangerous and time-consuming.
Speaking with PCGamesN, Iron Gate Studio CEO Richard Svensson said that this aspect changed several times during the development process. In the end, it was decided to prohibit the teleportation of ore. However, the studio is now following community feedback to keep abreast of opinions.
And judging by the community feedback, Valheim players were divided. On Reddit, user IamABigDreamer asked Iron Gate Studio not to remove the restriction: “These restrictions are pushing players to build new bases, look for shortcuts, intelligently choose a route on the plains or in the ocean. In all other situations, you can teleport. Go sailing with a full load of iron, bring your friends, talk about your emotions while sailing, and remember that the Viking’s journey never ends. “
The post got 11.5 thousand rating units and 2.2 thousand comments. Many users agree with IamABigDreamer, while others advocate time savings and convenience or other alternatives.
