The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia has officially confirmed that employees of the department will be prohibited from using iPhone smartphones for work correspondence, as reported by RIA Novosti.
“Yes, there was an order. There the wording is as follows: for business purposes. A ban on work correspondence via iPhone,” said Vasily Osmakov, First Deputy Head of the Department, on the sidelines of the industrial exhibition Innoprom-2023. The ban comes into effect on July 17.

At the beginning of the month, this was reported by sources of the Vedomosti newspaper, who also claim that the ban will also apply to employees of other subordinate organizations, as well as other departments.
Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said in June that employees of the presidential administration are prohibited from using Apple gadgets for official purposes.
Earlier, the Ministry of Industry and Trade told whether the iPhone would be excluded from parallel imports.
