As already known, the Galaxy A42 5G received a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED display with a built-in fingerprint scanner. But, contrary to expectations, the screen resolution is HD +, not Full HD +.

The smartphone is built around an eight-core processor with two 2.2 GHz and six 1.8 GHz cores. The manufacturer did not indicate the chipset model, but based on the frequency characteristics, we can assume that we are talking about Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G. The first smartphone with this single-chip system was presented at the end of September, but not yet on sale, Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite.

Depending on the modification, the Samsung Galaxy A42 5G is equipped with 4, 6, or 8 GB of RAM, but the volume of the built-in flash drive in all versions is 128 GB. Declared support for microSD cards with a capacity of up to 1 TB.

The quad rear camera consists of the main (48 MP, f / 1.8), ultra-wide-angle (8 MP, f / 2.2), and micromodule (5 MP, f / 2.4), as well as a depth sensor (5 MP, f / 2.4). The front camera is located in the waterdrop notch at the top of the display and is based on a 20MP sensor.

The smartphone is powered by a 5000 mAh battery. The standard charger has a power of 15 W. Dimensions Galaxy A42 5G – 75.9 × 164.4 × 8.6 mm, weight – 190 grams. The device is presented in three colors – black, white, and gray.
