The case of the flexible Xiaomi Mi Mix appeared in the photo – the smartphone will be similar to the Samsung Galaxy Fold
For the first time, it was announced that Xiaomi was developing a foldable smartphone back in 2019. Since then, there have been several leaks shedding light on the alleged device. Now on Weibo, photos of the upcoming smartphone’s body have appeared, revealing almost all its design features.
According to the markings on the case, the novelty will belong to the Mi Mix series. Its design will be similar to Samsung Galaxy Z Fold devices, meaning it will open like a book.
Instead of a camera unit, a plug is installed in the body, which indicates that the main unit will consist of three sensors located vertically.
Unfortunately, the display or its dummy was not installed in the case, so this component’s design and construction remain a mystery. But you can clearly see the massive hinge mechanism.
It is not yet known when Xiaomi plans to launch its first foldable smartphone. However, early leaks reported that the Chinese company would release several foldable display models by the end of this year.
