Airbus published a report on last year’s activities, which shows that the company produced 661 aircraft in 2022. This is 8% more than in 2021, but less than the original target.
“ In 2022, we delivered 661 aircraft to 84 customers, an 8% increase compared to 2021. This is obviously less than we planned, but given the operational challenges, I want to thank the teams and our partners for all the hard work and bottom line ,” said Guillaume Faury, Chief Executive of Airbus.
The vast majority of aircraft produced by Airbus in 2022 (516 aircraft) belong to the A320 family. The company also built 52 aircraft of the A220 family, 32 aircraft of the A330 family and 60 aircraft of the A350 family.
By the way, the report reflects a reduction in the production of A350 by two units: the A350-900 liners were sold in December 2021 and were supposed to be delivered to Aeroflot, but due to sanctions, the transfer of aircraft to the Russian customer did not take place.
