The connection to the first Halo, the grappling hook and the main enemy: what the Halo Infinite key art told us

Studio 343 Industries has released the full-size image and box cover of the Halo Infinite shoot. The similarity of the image of the new game with the cover of Halo: Combat Evolved, the new adaptation of the Master Chief on the arm, and the enemy in the reflection of the helmet visor did not escape the eyes of fans.

The Halo Infinite cover clearly refers to Halo: Combat Evolved. Usually, this is how they explain: the series goes back to the roots.

Another interesting thing is that a cat-hook is clearly visible on the Master Chief’s left hand. Earlier in the leaks, it was mentioned that the protagonist of Halo Infinite will acquire one and be able to use the device to move around the world, as well as to attract enemies and objects. It’s interesting to see how 343 Industries implements the hook in multiplayer.

Finally, a brute is seen in the reflection of the Master Chief’s visor, namely, Atriox from Halo Wars 2. This is a powerful antagonist who is the leader of the group of the Exiled. After breaking away from the Covenant after the conclusion of peace between humans and other races, they seek to destroy humanity and take over the ring worlds.

The Halo Infinite campaign will debut tomorrow, July 23rd at 10:00 p.m. EDT, at the Xbox Games Showcase. The game will be released this fall on PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X and is one of Microsoft’s major projects this year.
