Judging by the description, the events will take place in Iraq in 2003. CIA Task Force member Rachel King joined a special task force to investigate a suspected underground facility in the shadow of the Zagros mountain ranges, which is believed to be secretly producing chemical weapons. As we remember, the formal reason for the US invasion of Iraq was precisely the allegations that the latter had weapons of mass destruction.

Upon arriving at their destination, the squad stumbles upon a military patrol led by Sergeant Salim Osman. During a clash in the mountains, an earthquake begins, as a result of which both groups of soldiers find themselves among the ruins of an ancient Sumerian temple buried under the earth. Something ominous awakens in the dark underground of the Arabian desert … Mysterious extraterrestrial beings are opening the hunt for new prey. It will focus on the revived Sumerian myth about the House of Ash.

Survivors, wandering around the underworld in search of salvation, await monstrous discoveries and unusually difficult decisions. Will they put their own lives above all else or will they be able to forget about fears and contradictions in order to fight an unknown evil shoulder to shoulder?

“We’re excited to announce the third game in The Dark Pictures Anthology, ” said Supermassive Games CEO Pete Samuels. – As in previous games, House of Ashes has a completely new story, new heroes, incredible plot twists, and, of course, an encounter with a new threat. We can’t wait to share the details! “

All horror anthology games tell separate stories with different characters. They are united only by the cinematic presentation and the mysterious figure of a certain all-knowing observer known as the Curator. This hero exists outside of time and writes stories about life and death for the section of the vault for which he is responsible, has been doing this for thousands of years, and has long forgotten how it all began. For reasons incomprehensible even to himself, he got the opportunity to communicate with the player, he can give hints, but he is not able to interfere with what is happening. The Curator is played by British actor Philip Torrens, best known for his films The Crown and The Preacher.
