The video games in the Monster Hunter series are set in a diverse and beautiful world filled with humans and other races, as well as huge monsters. In a full-length picture, this world and ours will collide. In the center of the plot is a group of military men. They somehow got from Earth into the world of monsters. Whether or not such a concept is successful, Anderson is already sketching a sequel.

“[The game] has hundreds of monsters,” he said. – I can only use five or six of them in the film. It is a big and interesting world that I think we have just begun to comprehend

And if Anderson himself only hinted at his plans, then Jovovich said directly about them: “Definitely, we would like to shoot another one. I hope people will like it because I know Paul will be happy to make a sequel. That is, he is already writing something

Previously, Paul W.S. Anderson filmed the video game franchise Resident Evil.

The Monster Hunter feature film was supposed to premiere in theaters on September 4, but the pandemic disrupted those plans. Now the premiere is scheduled for December 2, 2020 (December 3 in Russia).
