Bethesda Softworks and ZeniMax Online Studios at The Game Awards 2020 have unveiled the debut trailer for the next addition to MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online, called Gates of Oblivion.

Other iconic areas such as Vvardenfell, Summerset, Elsweyr and West Skyrim have been added to The Elder Scrolls Online in the past. Now in turn Oblivion – a hostile demon world. In the Gates of Oblivion trailer, next to a book on the ground lies an elf who suffers from a terrifying nightmare. In it, she flies through the dungeon and collides with Mehrun Dagon. And at this time on the book next to her the symbol of Oblivion lights up.

Players first travelled to Oblivion in 2006’s The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. In addition, the demon world was present in Dawnguard and Dragonborn, additions to The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

The latest expansion for The Elder Scrolls Online took players to the lands of Skyrim as part of the Dark Heart of Skyrim event that lasted an entire year. In November, it culminated in the launch of the Markarth add-  on. The Elder Scrolls Online’s next expansion is slated for a full launch on January 21, 2021, with Bethesda Softworks hosting a special live stream on Twitch.

The Elder Scrolls Online is currently available on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X & S for backward compatibility. Bethesda Softworks previously announced plans to release the game on next-gen consoles but has not yet done so.
