The teaser shows a hand, the Humane logo and the inscription “Spring 2023”
Startup Humane, founded by former Apple employees, has officially announced that its first products will be presented in the spring of 2023.
Former Apple designer Imran Chaudhry spoke at The Business of Fashion’s Voices 2022 conference about “the post-smartphone era and how artificial intelligence will change everything.” At the end of his speech, he confirmed the presentation of new products at the beginning of next year.
The teaser features a hand, the Humane logo, and the words “Spring 2023”. Presumably then we will see both wearables and the operating system or platform behind them.
Judging by the patents, teaser and previously released information, Humane is most likely working on an Android-based wearable device that projects an image onto your hand.
In addition, Chaudhry criticized smart glasses, stating that they “add a barrier between the person and their surroundings.” He believes that few people want to walk in this form.
Putting computation on our face not only makes us look funny, it doesn’t enhance our humanity either. Rather, it has a negative impact on our human connection because eye contact is an important part of human connection. It helps us understand each other and feel closer to others.
