The third generation Panamera will be the first model
In June, Porsche updated its logo to mark the company’s 75th anniversary. Now, an updated logo has been unveiled that will adorn the Turbo models. For this version of the badge, the company ditched the traditional gold finish in favor of a new Turbonite color created by the experts at Porsche Color & Trim.
This is the same division of Porsche that is responsible for the exterior colors. The Turbonite color will not only be used for the badge, but Turbo models will also receive matching trim on various elements and a rear lettering painted in this special color, as will the side window frames.
The famous golden Porsche crest will no longer appear on the most powerful models.
Depending on the Turbo model, Turbonite color will adorn the aerodynamic elements and wheel spokes, as well as the front apron inserts, belts, trim strips and accents. Inside, a new badge will appear on the steering wheel.
By choosing the powerful Turbo model with a black interior, buyers will have the option to purchase a car with contrasting Turbonite inserts on the seats. The color will also be applied to the door cards, dashboard and even the floor mats.
The first such car will be the third-generation Panamera, which will debut on November 24. The Panamera will get turbo trim from day one. Porsche has already announced a Turbo E-Hybrid model with a 4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine and an electric motor, which produces a total output of about 650 hp. It accelerates to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds.
