Now it can charge by itself
The famous Spot robot dog got a useful function of robotic vacuum cleaners
There have been some changes in the hardware: increased security and improved communication. Due to this, the robot, again, can serve in enterprises of a larger area (in comparison with the previous model), and operators can download large amounts of data from it.
Together with Spot Enterprise, Boston Dynamics introduced a browser-based control system called Scout, which makes it easy to remotely control a robot. Through the browser, users can control it either manually or run predefined action scripts.
Finally, the third novelty of the company is a robotic arm with the laconic name Spot Arm, which can grab, lift, carry, place, and drag various objects. And it can be done both in manual mode (with remote control through the operator) and semi-autonomously. With this hand, the Spot can open and close valves, turn knobs, pull levers, open doors, and more. The robot can also be equipped with a thermal imager and a conventional camera with a 30x optical zoom.
