A few days ago, the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Khabarovsk Territory Evgeny Romanov announced the date of the first flight of the import-substituting domestic airliner SSJ-New. According to him, the plane should take to the skies on June 21. However, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation denied these data.

“ The Minister of Industry and Trade of the Khabarovsk Territory is not authorized to make relevant statements. The information he voiced about the appointment of the date of the first flight is not true. The dates for the start of test flights are determined by the aircraft developer (Irkut) based on the results of passing the Methodological Council of Experimental Aviation for Flight Tests of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia. The meeting of the Methodological Council on admission to the first flight of the SSJ-NEW has not yet been held , ”the ministry said.
Obviously, SSJ-New will soon take to the skies, but, most likely, the flight will take place not in June, but later.
