Two updated trucks with index 65951 are on the way
The TASS news agency published new details about the first import-substituted dump truck of the K5 generation, which rolled off the assembly line at the KamAZ plant.
Yesterday we reported that it received a 13-liter 460-horsepower engine and a Chinese 12-speed gearbox. Now a clarification has appeared, according to which the gearbox was equipped with localized components, and the fuel equipment, pneumatic brakes and electric power steering were replaced.
“The first anti-sanctions dump truck of the K5 generation was assembled at the automobile plant. “KAMAZ-6595” came off the assembly line, passed tests in the vehicle assembly and delivery workshop and is awaiting shipment to the scientific and technical center,” the plant reported.
The first modernized KAMAZ-6595 dump truck received a cabin from the Mercedes-Benz Arocs.
“From the very beginning, this model was distinguished by a high degree of localization, so assembling the updated version did not cause any difficulties,” noted Vladimir Araslanov, head of the assembly production efficiency analysis department, and added that the pedal housing, mirrors, and windshield were supplied to the cabin by 6595 new manufacturers. There are more components on the chassis that are not afraid of sanctions.
Another KamAZ-6595 has already been laid down at the automobile plant, and two updated heavy four-axle heavy-duty trucks with the index 65951 are also on the way.
