Adobe expands capabilities of key graphics and video products

Through Pam Clark, who manages software products like Photoshop at Adobe, Adobe announced the first release of Photoshop with built-in support for Macs running on the Apple M1 single-chip system. It was the result of testing a beta version released last November .

According to Adobe’s own tests, the Apple M1 version of Photoshop is significantly faster compared to running on the Rosetta 2 platform in compatibility mode – an average of 1.5 times. In particular, smart selections, filters and retouching tools are applied faster.

Pam Clarke also shared on the Adobe blog about two new additions to Photoshop for iPad. First, it became possible to view a list of automatically saved versions of each cloud document for the last 60 days and roll back to any of them. Second, you can now select cloud documents to work offline.

A new feature has become available in Camera Raw – Super Resolution. It uses machine learning technology to increase image resolution with better results than was possible before.

In addition, the developer has introduced a complete set of tools in Premiere Pro designed to quickly add, customize and style titles and subtitles. The program also has the ability to copy and paste entire audio tracks and display and use timecode at a non-standard frame rate.
