The first reviews of Resident Evil Village will appear two days before the official release
The aggregator OpenCritic on its official website has disclosed information on the date and time of lifting the ban on the publication of review materials on Resident Evil Village from Capcom.
According to OpenCritic, the first reviews of Resident Evil Village will appear on May 5 this year at 18:00 Moscow time, that is, two days before the official release of the ambitious horror.
In other words, if the Resident Evil Village review appears anywhere before the specified time, then the journalists of this portal either violated the terms of the agreement or do not fall under it (for example, they got hold of the game themselves).
For comparison: in the case of Resident Evil 7 – the previous numbered part of the series – in January 2017, the embargo expired just a day before the game went on sale.
Recall that Resident Evil Village fell into the hands of some Australian gamers two weeks before the release, and the owners of early copies have already begun to share their impressions of the project.
According to unconfirmed reports, the passage of Resident Evil Village on the standard difficulty level will take from 13 to 16 hours. If the rumors are confirmed, the game will be longer than the already mentioned Resident Evil 7 (and not only).
The release of Resident Evil Village is expected on May 7 this year on PC (Steam), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and Google Stadia. The final demo will be released on May 2 and will remain available for eight days instead of one.
