The Game Awards 2020 showed a teaser trailer for the next part of Mass Effect

As it turned out, BioWare’s presence at The Game Awards 2020 was not limited to a fresh trailer for the next Dragon Age – the studio also presented the debut teaser for the new Mass Effect.

The video is just under two minutes long and does not contain any gameplay footage. In addition, the video does not reveal the name of the upcoming project – the fifth in a row Mass Effect remains without a subtitle or number in the title.

Judging by the trailer, the new Mass Effect will continue the story of the third part of the franchise: on the snowy planet from the video, you can see a motionless and, it seems, defeated Reaper.

In addition, a representative of the Asari race (presumably Liara T’Soni) appears in the video. The girl pulls out a piece of N7 armour from under the snow and turns to the camera – in the background, at this moment, flaunts a spaceship from the announcement teaser.

According to the already former head of BioWare Casey Hudson (Casey Hudson), the next part of Mass Effect is still in the early stages of production and is responsible for the project “team of veterans

The release date and the list of target platforms for the new Mass Effect were not disclosed. However, at this stage, it can be assumed that the game will probably not be released on consoles of the past generation.

Recall that BioWare also has a Mass Effect Legendary Edition in development, which includes updated versions of the first three parts of the series. The set will be released in the spring of 2021 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
