The head of the Xbox played “a little” in the Elden Ring and called it Hidetaki Miyazaki’s “most ambitious project”

Recently, GameSpot was able to speak with the head of the Xbox division Phil Spencer (Phil Spencer). In the interview, we talked about Elden Ring, which the director had already tried out. He called the game “the most ambitious brainchild” of Hidetaka Miyazaki, head of project development and head of studio FromSoftware.

Phil Spencer’s commentary says: “ Actually I saw a little and played a little. As someone who has played all of Miyazaki’s projects for at least the last decade, [I can say] this is the most ambitious game he has ever done. I mean, I love his games, but I see him enthusiastically implementing some gameplay mechanics, working with the team all the time, including the setting, and working with a new [for himself] writer on the story. I like it all. ”

Summing up, Phil Spencer stated that in Elden Ring Miyazaki “expands his horizons” And then the Xbox executive shared a funny detail. It turns out the FromSoftware director leaves the room when Phil Spencer picks up the controller. The head of Microsoft’s gaming division suggested that Miyazaki did not want to see his poor skills in action.

Elden Ring’s release date and platforms are still undisclosed. There has been almost no information about the game since the official announcement.
