The Chinese company Realme has begun distributing a stable software update based on the Android 10 operating system for the Realme 5 ( review ) and Realme 5s smartphones.

Last year’s Realme 5 and Realme 5s models became a real hit. In January, Realme announced a record – by the end of 2019, sales of the Realme 5 line exceeded 5.5 million units. On both models, ColorOS 6 based on Android 9 Pie was originally installed. 

In January, Realme introduced the new proprietary Realme UI shell, which was based on Android 10 and the ColorOS 7 shell for Oppo and Reno smartphones. She is seen as a new competitor to MIUI and EMUI.

So, with the release of the latest update, Realme 5 and Realme 5s are switching to the new Realme UI interface based on Android 10.
