Apple is in no hurry to improve charging speeds
Xinping Technology tested the charging time of the latest iPhone 15 series smartphones and compared them with many popular smartphones available in China.
The iPhone 15, 15 Pro, and 15 Pro Max took the very last places in this ranking:
The iPhone 15 was fully charged in 1 hour 53 minutes 52 seconds and ranked 65th;
The iPhone 15 Pro was fully charged in 1 hour 56 minutes 52 seconds and ranked 67th;
The iPhone 15 Pro Max was fully charged in 1 hour and 56 minutes and took 66th place.
Tests confirmed that the iPhone 15 has a maximum sustained power of 20.3W and an average power of 8.9W. The iPhone 15 Pro Max achieved a maximum sustained power of 24.9W and an average power of 11.6W.

In this case, the iPhone 15 can be charged to 80% in about an hour, and then it will switch to trickle charging mode. At the same time, the charging power is extremely low, and the speed drops significantly.
