Not a bug, but a feature?
In the second half of June, Samsung released a major update to its Galaxy S23 flagships that was expected to fix numerous camera issues. However, as it turned out, if problems are solved, then not all. Here is what a well-known Ice Universe insider writes about this..
The June update of Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra did not solve problem of shooting yellow faces
“ The June update of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra did not solve the problem of yellow faces. They really lack professionalism if such a simple problem cannot be solved. It is frustrating that when looking at a photo of my child, [I see that] the face taken with 3x zoom is very yellow [image 1] , while the photo taken with the front camera is more consistent with the original color [image 2],” reports Ice Universe.
In the comments on these photos, an insider shares his opinion on why this is happening: “ In my opinion, the reason is that [phone] Samsung cannot accurately recognize the face, but uses a single color enhancement algorithm, which is not smart enough .”
