Recall that data for it is collected from five thousand applications in the Microsoft Store that use the AdDuplex SDK v.2 or higher. The sample size is about 70 thousand users. Windows 10 20H2 remained the second most popular, but now it lags behind the 2004 version used by 40.6 percent of users, by only 0.5 percentage points. Collectively, the last two versions of Windows 10 run on 80.7 percent of all computers with this OS. In third place is version 1909, which is scheduled to be discontinued next month. Its share is now 11.1 percent. The share of devices that use insider assemblies of the operating system increased from 0.5 percent to 0.7 percent.

It is expected that Microsoft will soon release Windows 10 21H1, which will not bring major innovations. The same cumulative updates will service this version like Windows 10 2004 and 20H2.
