Sales start today in China

The Stuff.tv website published one of the first reviews of the flagship smartphone Xiaomi 13 Ultra, which went on sale in China only today, April 21.

The reviewer writes that Xiaomi has improved not only the camera system, but every aspect of the phone, from the screen to the new power saving mode, which can provide 60 minutes of operation from just one percent of the battery.

We don’t yet know how much the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will cost when it actually arrives in the UK, but we can say it’s a contender for the best Android phone of 2023.

The article says that all four cameras on the back of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra offer 50MP resolution, but only the main one is equipped with the world’s first 1-inch variable aperture sensor. The camera has the same IMX989 sensor as Xiaomi 13 Pro and Vivo X90 Pro, but now you can manually switch the aperture between F/1.9 and F/4.0.

Last year’s Xiaomi 12s Ultra ultra-wide and telephoto lenses were mediocre compared to the main module. However, this time it’s different. All models received 50-megapixel Sony IMX858 sensors. Xiaomi clearly has enthusiasts and content creators in mind as all four cameras can shoot 8K and 10-bit LOG video. The camera can also take 14-bit RAW photos, and the new USB-C 3.2 port supports 4K/60Hz output.
