Samsung has begun distributing an update to the One UI 2.1 proprietary shell for low-cost Samsung Galaxy A51 smartphones.

The low-cost Samsung Galaxy A51 received a big update to One UI 2.1 with new features. Previously, this version was only on the flagships.

One UI 2.1 debuted simultaneously with the Galaxy S20 series and brings some of the new flagship features to other Samsung smartphones. At the moment, the shell is released for the Galaxy S10, Galaxy Note10, Galaxy Note10 Lite, as well as the Galaxy Fold.

But users of the two-year-old Galaxy Note9 and Galaxy S9 can only hope for a release in June. Officially, Samsung did not promise anything to them. All the more surprising was the receipt of a large update of the One UI 2.1 inexpensive model.

The update with One UI 2.1 also brings the April Android security update. The firmware weighs about 1.26 GB. It is available in many regions, including Russia.

Samsung Galaxy A51 debuted in Russia in January at a recommended retail price of 19,990 rubles.

The One UI 2.1 shell adds new AR emojis, the Quick Share file sharing function, the Music Share function, the “professional” video mode, and much more.
