According to CarNewsChina, pre-sales of the luxury sedan Luxeed S7, the brainchild of Chery and Huawei, will start on November 7 in China. The brand name is derived from the words Luxury and Speed - luxury and speed. Interestingly, in China, the Luxeed S7 will be sold not only in the brand’s showrooms, but also in Huawei stores.
The dimensions of the Luxeed S7 are 5004 x 1963 x 1474 with a wheelbase of 2950 mm. That is, in size it is similar to the latest BMW 5 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class sedans. The Luxeed S7 is built on an 800-volt platform and supports very fast charging: it packs a charge that allows you to travel 150 km in 5 minutes.
The Luxeed S7 will be offered in five trim levels and two versions of the drive – rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. In the first case, the power is 292 hp, in the second – 496 hp. The supplier of traction batteries was CATL.
Luxeed S7 will receive a leather interior, a 40-inch screen, wireless charging for two smartphones, a media system running HarmonyOS 4. The front passenger seat will receive a retractable footrest. Earlier, Huawei CEO Yu Chengdong said that the Luxeed S7 “will surpass the Tesla Model S.”
