Production will start in 2024
According to the Autopotok insider Telegram channel, the production of the Lada Vesta NG version with gas-cylinder equipment will begin next year, and the date will be determined closer to the end of the year.
According to our sources, the production of Vesta CNG will be restarted at the ATC plant in the middle of next year. The exact date will be known towards the end of 2023. The main problem of restarting this model is the need for calibrations for a new engine control unit.
The main problem that prevents the restart of Lada Vesta NG
Earlier, AvtoVAZ Vice President for External Relations and Shareholder Relations Sergey Gromak confirmed that AvtoVAZ plans to start production of the updated Lada Vesta NG, powered by natural gas , but did not go into details.
At the beginning of this year, AvtoVAZ launched the production of a dual-fuel version of the Lada Granta sedan equipped with methane gas equipment. This year, it is planned to produce about 3-3.5 thousand of these machines: “We are looking at the market very carefully, if there is demand, we will produce more.”
