The Modern Game Boy Coming To Pre-Order August 3rd For Nintendo Switch Price

Portable manufacturer Analogue Pocket has announced that the system will be available for pre-order on August 3rd. However, Analogue won’t release the console until May 2021. She blames this on the supply chain problem due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Analogue-Pocket

You can pre-order the Analogue Pocket for $ 200. A separate docking station for connecting to a TV will cost $ 100. So, the cost of the console is equal to the Nintendo Switch. But Analogue is doing everything it can to justify the price.

Recall that Analogue Pocket will be able to play all games released on the Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance at 1600 × 1400 pixels. That’s 10 times the resolution of the original Game Boy screen. Analogue says the console will be able to scale old games on the new screen so that they look sharper. The display also supports variable refresh rates, which should minimize screen tearing and other graphics artifacts.

Analog Pocket will also offer original display mode – Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance screen simulations. In addition, Analogue plans to release adapters for Game Gear, Neo Geo Pocket Color, and Atari Lynx cartridges. The games of these systems will also receive the original display mode.

According to the manufacturer, the Analogue Pocket battery will last over six hours. In addition, the system has a sleep mode that will increase its operating time. The console also comes with Nanoloop music production software, which can turn it into a popular tool among DJs.
